SKODA FABIA SEDAN Type TMB PS 014B

The towing gear with type designation TMB PS 014 is designed for the
connection of trailers with the total weight up to 1,200 kg to the cars ŠKODA
FABIA, ŠKODA FABIA COMBI and ŠKODA FABIA SEDAN.

Description

The towing gear is welded from a massive steel beam, in the middle of which a
removable towing arm is connected between two holders by means of two
screws M12x65. At the end of the beam, there are welded consoles, which are
used for the connection of the trailer gear to the vehicle. The socket holder can
be swung down on a pivot.

General data

The design of the equipment complies with the Decree of the Ministry of
Transport of the Czech Republic No. 102 / 95 Coll. and all Czech and
international regulations. The towing arm is equipped with a ball journal with
the diameter of 50 mm in compliance with the standards ISO 3853. Black shade
of the powder enamel KOMAXIT E 2110 is used for surface treatment. The
attachment elements are provided with surface treatment Zn-Ni pursuant the
standards VW 13750 : Ofl - r670 in the black shade and are tested with respect
to climatic resistance pursuant to ONA 30 10 02 N15. The connection of the
electrical equipment is in compliance with the standard ČSN (Czech National
Standard) 30 4450. The equipment was subjected to strength tests in
compliance with ČSN 30 3652 and tests pursuant to the European standard
94/20/ES. The design is protected with the Applied Pattern Registration
Certificate No. 5955.
The Manufacturer certifies that the towing gear has been manufactured in
compliance with the approved documentation and complies with the type
approved by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic under the
Certification Number 1426 and homologation EEC e1 * 94/20 * 1276 * 00.

The Subaru 4EAT Transmission manual

The 4EAT Transmission is a 4 speed, microprocessor-controlled transmission
that was first introduced in 1987.5 Subaru models. It is not a 3 speed trans-
mission with overdrive. It features a lock-up
torque converter which locks up in all forward gears
except 1st. It has been offered in FWD or Full Time
AWD configurations.
The 4EAT transmission has undergone continuous
development and improvement since its introduction.
Several unique 4EAT features have been
O v e r v i e w added, changed, or deleted from various
Subaru models over the years. We’ll provide
you with a brief overview of these features here. For a
more thorough description of specific 4EAT operating
characteristics or features, refer to the applicable

2009 Subaru Forester

The third generation of the Forester arrives with a restyled exterior and several
other new features, including a more rigid platform, a double-wishbone rear
suspension, a larger hatch opening and improved roof rails. The new Forester gains
9 cm in overall length and is 9 cm longer in the wheelbase. This Subaru is available
in 2.5X and 2.5XT Limited trim levels, the latter with a turbocharged engine.

Interior and cargo area

Easy to enter and exit, the Forester offers very comfortable front seats with good
side support. However, the side bolsters narrow the seats somewhat for stocky
people, especially when they’re wearing heavy clothing. Some people also find the
passenger seat a bit low. The driving position is very good, thanks to the tilt-
telescoping steering wheel. Headroom is generous, even with the sunroof and even
for tall individuals, and there is ample legroom.

1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
2 Unclip and remove panel surround- ing shifter including ashtray. (Figure A)
3 Remove (1) Phillips screw per side panel then unclip and remove panels. (Figure B)
4 Remove (6) Phillips from radio to remove. (Figure C)
5 Remove (4) screws securing the climate control to the radio/climate control assembly then unclip and remove climate control. (Figure D)
1 Clip the climate control into the back of the 99-8901. (Figure A)
2 Attach the corresponding bracket to the back of the pocket and secure with the provided Phillips screws. (Figure B)

The engine lubrication system includes many small passages. Dirty or contaminated engine oil may con- tain microscopic particles that can clog these passages. If the oil supply to the hydraulic lash adjusters (HLAs) on the 2.2 liter SOHC engine is blocked by this debris, oil pressure and supply to the HLAs will drop. A ticking noise from one or more HLA may result. This article addresses the procedure from disassembling the rocker assemblies and HLAs to exam- ine for blockage or other damage.

Engine Oil Pressure Measurement

Low oil pressure may also cause noisy HLAs. Use the following proce- dure to measure the oil pressure before further disassembly. Remove the generator from its bracket. Disconnect the connector and terminal from the generator. Remove the v-belt cover. Loosen the lock bolt and slider bolt, and remove the gener- ator v-belt. Remove the generator lock bolt. Remove the generator bolt. Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure switch. Remove the oil pres- sure switch from the engine cylinder block. Connect the oil pressure gauge hose to the engine block. Start the engine, and measure the oil pressure.
